Muhammad Yunus (1940- )

Awarded the Prize “for the efforts to create economic social development from below.”

Yunus is a Bangladeshi Economist Banker, founder of the Grameen Bank. He was born in Chittagong, East Bengal, on 29 June 1940. Graduated from Verbilt Universityin 1969 with Doctorate in Economics. He used to serve in University of Chittagoing, lecturing as a Professor.
