Ronald H. Coase (1910-2013)

Awarded the Prize “for his discovery clarification of the significance of transaction costs property rights for the institutional structure functioning of the economy.”

American economist. Coase was born on December 29, 1910 in Willesden, Middlesex, Engl. In 1930 he received bachelor of Commerce degree from the London School of Economics. In 1951, he migrated to the United States. He held a teaching position at the London School of Economics, the University of Virginia the University of Chicago. Coase died on September 2, 2013 in Chicago, USA.

The nature of the Firm (1937); British Broadcasting: A Study in Monopoly (1950); The Federal Communications Commission (1959); The Problem of Socialist Cost (1960)
